On Line Life in Kuwait

Now this is my 9 month in Kuwait after spending few years abroad. Up until now I’ve managed to use few kuwaiti online stores that made my life much easier.
www.Fendeq.com which I reviewed earlier in the blog is one of the sites i’ve used recently. I was planning to head to KSA for the weekend and decided to book the ticket via expedia as usual. I couldn’t find a hotel booking at that time at Radison SAS, thankfully fendeq.com was on my mind and the room was available with no problem at all.
www.taw9eel.com is the other site I used last Friday. The good thing that it delivered the goods in 30 min without the need to call me and confirm the address. The bad thing is I couldn’t find Dr Pepper on their site!
www.6alabat.com This is the 3rd or 4th time i use the site. It takes ages to deliver the meal and most of the restaurants listed are “Trendy” restaurants for sushi and stuff. I managed to order Chelow Kabab for dinner from Shater Abbas.
www.clicknbuy.com.kw I only use this site to compare prices. I didn’t buy anything from their yet.
The site is under construction!
What other Kuwaiti online stores you used recently and how was the services ?
Quick Poll
So peaople have been using twitter for some time now. Any one remember the days were you recieve an sms as a tweet ? Do you miss this feature or it doesn’t matter ?

Lebanon Feb.

I have managed to get away during the national holidays last Feb. to Beirut for 5 days. The last time I’ve been their was 9 years ago and it was during summer.
You have to stay in a good hotel, have a taxi rented for the whole day, and enjoy food whenever you can! I was with two of my friend whom I describe as professional eaters. They have no problem traveling for 2 hours in the insane traffic to enjoy a restaurant they heard a good review about it from a traveling forum on the net.
I arrived one day earlier than they did as I wanted to check our apartment in the mountain and pay some old bills – $1000 :/ – and came back to Beirut stayed in a crappy hotel but with a nice view on Al Manara. Explored a bit to find out Starbucks 30 min walking distance away. The next days the guys came to me and we went to Four points. Pretty decent hotel but a small lobby. The highlight of our trip was Faraya ski resorts where we found hundreds of Kuwaitis and Saudis filling the place. It was fun thou and we ended up being introduced to the concept of ski tan !
Looking forward to visit Lebanon again this summer.
